A day of reading poetry for me, and in doing so,
I have been finding such wisdom and beauty.
As lovely and enriching as any words I've read today
are these:

"When we were brand new, we walked those paths,
palmed the heads of hydrangeas and mums,
smelled vanilla bean for the first time"

Anyone who reads those life-giving lines is sure to pause,
smiling unconsciously at the memories they evoke. Even
the words are personal to you, the beauty of the remembering
is universal. I have read this poem many times and yet
each time I read those words, I am transported to my own
most beautiful memories.  For that reason I have plucked them
from your poem and set them down in Bon Mots, and already
that room glows brighter.

Thank you,
