Each year at the Tamworth Country Music Festival the Lions Club run The Great Duck Race. Folk buy a ticket in a duck and then on the Sunday they let them all go in the Peel River and the first duck passed the winning line wins his owner a $1000.00. The proceeds go to various Charities.
